When it comes to renovating your home, Pinterest is often the go-to platform for inspo. However, scrolling through the endless sea of magazine-quality, too-good-to-be-true dream homes can be a little intimidating. To inspire first-time homeowners to take on their own home renovations, we came up with Built-In Pins, a series of pins breaking down how to get from the "before" –to the "after."
Creative Direciton: Sanders Hearne, Nathalia Resende
Art Direction: Elizabeth Maloy, Caty Coplin, Ian McAllister, Louie Zuniga
Copywriting: Alex Lukacs
Animation: David Burns, Stephen Bridges
As if mini-room transformations within a pin weren't cool enough, we brought viewers into the experience with shoppable 360º video–a first for Pinterest. All users had to do was tap the pin to enter the space and shop everything from paint colors to lighting fixtures and even home decor.
As part of their Creative Spotlight series, Pinterest Business produced the following case study with 22squared, outlining the campaign's strategic approach and showcasing how the first-to-market creative was able to reach millions.
From 360º room makeovers to a Pinterest board outlining how-to's and shoppable products, the Built-In Pin campaign made the renovation process more exciting and attainable. The campaign even won a Cannes Lion in the retail category, proving that beautiful, smart content can not only be engaging–it can drive sales.
